πŸ₯‚ TO EVERYTHING WE ACHIEVE TOGETHER!

As the year draws to a close, I would like to thank you all for everything you do for Kiwanis and, above all, for your tireless efforts to help as many children as possible grow up in a healthy environment.

The projects we have been working on since the beginning of the year will certainly help to offer them, step by step, a bright future.

To all of you and your loved ones, may 2026 be a year full of achievements, daily joys, health and peace!

INCENTIVES FOR SPONSORING CLUBS

Financial incentives for sponsoring clubs to encourage the creation of new clubs: sponsoring clubs will receive financial support to cover necessary coaching and mentoring activities.

KI-E has budgeted this year an amount of €10,000 which will allow us to reward the efforts made by the sponsor clubs of a new club.

How does it work? Very easy!
KI-E will give to the sponsoring club (only the first one in the charter form) €200 automatically and just after the new club will be chartered: it is an incentive for the sponsoring club to charter the new club, not only the traditional ones but also Voices Clubs (aged 18-26).

A FIRST STEP TOWARDS A BRIGHT FUTURE

The months of October and November 2025 marked the launch of the European project “Green Step for a Bright Future.” The start has been extremely promising: numerous clubs have already carried out initiatives fully aligned with the project’s objectives, through actions that are simple, concrete, and highly impactful.

This outcome demonstrates how easily the project can be implemented by Clubs across Europe, thanks to its simplicity, scalability, zero cost, and the great visibility it gives to our mission of serving children and communities, as we work together toward a better future in full harmony with the principles of sustainability.

Below is a brief overview of the main initiatives carried out by the Clubs, accompanied by some meaningful photos that highlight the enthusiasm and strong motivation this European project is generating.

  1. The Kiwanis Zafferana Etnea club in Catania promoted nature walks and a Green Painting for schools for environmental awareness and the physical and mental well-being that the natural landscape provides.

  2. The Kiwanis eClub Junior Italy Service promoted activities included the sale, donation, and planting of olive trees in schools and local communities, with both ecological and solidarity purposes.

  3. The Kiwanis Club Sikelia Est together with other associations planted trees of all kinds; the tree chosen was the Mimosa, which, like the Olive Tree, has great significance. Children participated in the planting both directly and through drawings.

  4. The Kiwanins Club Modica met first-year secondary school pupils to illustrate the project in question, Reflections were shared on habits and behaviours to adopt, in order to protect the environment. The first step involved the students planting a sapling in the school courtyard.

HOW YOUR CLUB CAN APPLY FOR MICROGRANTS

The Kiwanis Children's Fund has a long tradition of working with Kiwanis clubs to fill gaps in funding for their projects through club grants.

Small grants can make a big difference for smaller clubs with limited budgets. The Children's Fund knows that small projects can have a huge impact on children's lives, which is why we are excited to launch our micro-grant program.

If your club has 35 members or fewer and is in good standing with Kiwanis International and the Kiwanis Children's Fund, you can apply for a microgrant of US$250-1,000.

AMBITIOUS GOALS FOR KIWANIS VOICES

Kiwanis International President Michael Mulhaul launched a new program dedicated to members aging 18–26: Kiwanis VOICES. The goal is to motivate young adults to be enthusiastic in their own way and to represent the unique mission of Kiwanis: Serving the children of the World.

Two months have flown by in this important Kiwanis year, 2025/2026, instilling a new spirit throughout Kiwanis worldwide. Kiwanis International–Europe (KI-E) is part of this new program and is working with dedicated leaders and the District Governors to make it a success.

The first clubs are already created in Districts Italy-San Marino and France-Monaco. Congratulations to Governors Valente and Brignonen for their enthusiasm. Norden and Romania have also made a commitment and are currently developing it.

During the KI-E Board meeting in Rome, new and definitive steps have been take with the Governors to encourage District Chairs for VOICES in all Districts.

Our goal must be ambitious and inspiring. Creating 40 new VOICES clubs in Europe is more than achievable by the end of this Kiwanis year. Let us join together in offering this wonderful New Year's gift to KI President Michael Mulhaul.

Don’t forget, we must rejuvenate our organization and VOICES is one of the most appropriate way to reach the target.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with Filip Delanote and Daniel Vigneron for more information.
