Dear Kiwanis friends,
My function as KI-E President comes to the end.
First of all, I want to thank all of you for your support during this year and for your dedication to the Service of the Children of the World.
My special thanks go to my secretary Michel who revealed available at any day with very good advice and support.
My special thanks also for the Chairs and the Governors with whom we could seriously move the lines during this year.
Our achievements, we may be proud of, took place in various topics.
The "Back to the Race" project implemented a common social project for children in Ukraine, to whom we brought some relief with a contribution not far from 100.000 €.
"Back to the Race" also brought a support for membership with the Neo Club concept and the "April, month of the invitees" concept. The introduction in districts of the function of "area club builders" is also an idea to evaluate.
"Back to the Race" also brought support for communication with the "Social Balance" (which, however, is not yet complete).
In matter of management of the association, we introduced, with the "Reserves at Work" concept a more dynamic financial handling which should optimize the available ressources.
In matter of legal compliance, we did reset on rail the procedure for online voting process together with introducing new bylaws so as to conform the new Europe legislation, to be submitted to vote on October 12 next in Kleinbettingen (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg).
At our Luxembourg Convention, we could mix friendly moments together with effectiveness and favorable financial handling thanks to the dedication of our Host Committee which could even gain the State of Luxembourg support.
As a result, I am very happy to observe that the atmosphere within KI-E is very positive and friendly!
Not to mention that membership is in solid progress, also with above 50 Neo Clubs, and that the declining trend we observed during the recent years seems to reverse, at the moment I write.
Still, I have some regret that better collaboration and partnership with KI couldn’t find place, as there is source, there, for a mutual benefit.
Another regret is that, due to an accident, I had to cancel my September activities. Please, Austrian, Iceland-Faroe and Norden friends, accept my excuses therefore!
I wish you and my successors at KI-E full success in the times to come: in our wild World, there is a place for a philanthropic organization fully dedicated the the Service of the Children of the World!
